     1. Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes 

    

 At the 1st place, we have the famous Spanish novel 'Don Quixote' by Miguel de Cervantes. It was                   first published in 1612 and since then, the book has sold 500 million copies  worldwide .                                                                                

    2 .  A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens                                                             At the 2nd position, we have the very famous ’A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. The          novel is set in London and Paris before and during the French Revolution.         

       

   3.  The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien

    At the 3rd place we have the very famous 'The Lord of the Rings' by J. R. R. Tolkien. It is     an       epic fantasy novel that tells the story of a quest undertaken by Frodo and the Fellowship of              the Ring                  

 

  4. The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry 

    At the 4th place, we have the famous ’'The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Very few      stories are as widely read and as universally cherished by children and adults alike as The Little      Prince. 

 

  5.  Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J. K. Rowling

    At the 5th place we have the highly successful Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone by J. K.      Rowling, the first book from the series of seven books.

  6.  And Then There Were None by AGATHA CHRISTIE

   At number 6th place we have the iconic Agatha Christie novel 'And Then There Were None'. The    book was first published in 1939, and since then it has been seen as one of the best thriller   novels of all time. 

 7.  The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien

   At the 7th place, we have the very famous ’The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien. The story revolves           around a hobbit named Bilbo Baggins who enjoys a comfortable, non-ambitious life, rarely     traveling any farther than his pantry or cellar. 

 8.  Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll

  Notably seen as one of the best children's novels, 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' by Lewis   Carroll comes at 8th place in the list. 

9 . The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe by C. S. Lewis

  At the 9th place we have the very famous, 'The Lion, The Witch and the wardrobe' by C. S. Lewis.   The book was first published in 1950 and has sold 85 million copies worldwide. 

 10.  She: A History of Adventure by H. Rider Haggard

  At the 10th place, we have 'She: A History of Adventure' by H. Rider Haggard. The book was first    published in 1887 and has sold 83 million copies worldwide.

 11. The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi by Carlo Collodi

  Every liar (and truth-teller!) is familiar with this tale. The Adventures of   Pinocchio inspired the famous animated version by Walt Disney and cemented a   colloquial association between long noses and liars.

   Ved Prakash Sharma's detective novels are incredibly popular in India,   especially Vardi Wala Gunda, where his impact has been felt the most.
